Welcome to LOC TALK, a location-based chat application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services. Information You Provide

When you use LOC TALK, we collect the following information:

  • Message Content: The text messages you send through the application
  • Location Data: Your geographic location (latitude and longitude) at the time you send messages
  • Timestamp: The date and time when messages are sent

Information We Do Not Collect

LOC TALK is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • User account information
  • Device information
  • Browser history
  • Cookies
  • Usage statistics
  • Personal photos
  • Contact lists

How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the core functionality of LOC TALK:

  • To Deliver Messages: To send your messages to other users within the defined 100-meter radius
  • To Display Nearby Messages: To show you messages from other users in your vicinity
  • To Maintain Message History: To store messages for future viewing by users in that location

Data Storage and Retention

  • Messages and their associated location and timestamp data are stored on our servers indefinitely, or until server storage limitations require older messages to be removed
  • Messages are stored based on their geographic location and remain accessible to users who enter that area
  • We do not use your data for analytics, profiling, or advertising purposes

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share or sell your data with third parties. The only sharing that occurs is the intended core functionality of the app:

  • Your messages are shared with other LOC TALK users who are within the 100-meter radius of where the message was sent
  • Messages you send will be visible to anyone who uses the app in that location, even at a later time

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • If required by law or legal process
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • In connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of business assets (in which case users would be notified)

User Controls and Choices

Users have the following control over their data:

  • Location Permission: You can control the app’s access to your location through your device settings
  • Message Content: You control what content you share in your messages

Due to the nature of the service, messages sent cannot be deleted by users after they are posted, as they become part of the location-based message board.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information collected. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

LOC TALK is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

International Users

LOC TALK is operated from Czechia. If you are accessing the app from outside Czechia, please be aware that information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in Czechia. The data protection laws of Czechia may differ from those of your country.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Your Acceptance of These Terms

By using LOC TALK, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our application.
