What to do with the Sitemap text?

For search engines to use this sitemap you need to add it as a xml file to the root of your website.

After the sitemap is generated, just copy the the text in the Sitemap area and put it in to a text file, then rename the textfile to manual_sitemap.xml

Now if you go to your website: http://your_domain_here/manual_sitemap.xml
You should see the sitemap.

Now put this link to the sitemap in google search console and/or Bing.

Why is sitemap important?

Sitemaps are useful for search engines to find all pages of your site and their structure.

If a page isn’t linked clearly from other pages, a sitemap makes sure search engines still see it.

For big sites, e-commerce stores, or dynamically generated pages, a sitemap prevents valuable content from being ignored.

A sitemap speeds up indexing of new pages so they can appear in search results faster.

A sitemap does not improve rankings by itself, but it removes technical barriers that prevent content from being discovered.

Keep the sitemap updated when pages are added, changed, or removed to keep the site easy for search engines to understand.
